“Have the tutors and chaperones all been CRB police checked?”
Yes. All our staff has been fully vetted and CRB police checked.
“What is the daily schedule the students will be following?”
The day starts at 10:00am and finishes at 5:00pm with a break for lunch between 1:00pm and 2:00pm Each day will be packed with classes covering all aspects of training in Acting and Musical Theatre, with daily rehearsals scheduled to bring together the finale performance at the end of the week.
“Do any talent scouts, casting directors or agents come to see the students at work?”
Yes. As a school cultivating tomorrow’s stars, casting directors and agents are keen to keep abreast of emerging talent. Some will attend the finale showcase, whilst others may pop in during the week to see the students during class times. We have a strong relationship with a number of these industry professionals and hope to provide our students with a useful network of contacts while working with us.
“Will students need to bring their own food?”
The school provides a healthy daily lunch and refreshments for all its students included in the fee. We ask that each student bring bottled water to keep hydrated through the day. As long as we are notified of any specific dietary requirements we will be able to cater accordingly.
“Are the students supervised?”
Students are supervised and chaperoned at all times. The chaperone to student ratio is 1:8. The chaperones are based on site and are always available for any student needing assistance.
“What sort of material will the students be working with?”
All material is selected on a basis of being appropriate to the age group of the individual class. It will comprise of songs from West End shows, original and adapted show choreography plus working scripts and text. A huge range of musical theatre is explored, so you can guarantee a very entertaining and spectacular finale performance.
